Hurricane Katrina left thousands homeless and brought much pain to this once great party city. We will help serve in any way that we can during this difficult time. Our priority is to bring hope and encouragement to the people along with sharing the gospel of Christ.
The group during the week will be reaching out and ministering through different ministries. Opportunities may include VBS, sports evangelism, park ministry, light construction or cleanup, community outreaches, and prayerwalks.
Transportation
Groups may drive to the project site or fly into the New Orleans Airport. Air and ground transportation during the week is not provided by ChildReach. You must provide your own transportation. We suggest that you bring or rent vans instead of using large busses.
Lodging
Your group will be staying at a local ministry or church. The participants will need to be prepared to sleep on the floor. Each participant will need to bring an air mattress, a pillow and bedding.
