Kansas City is located along the Missouri River in the heart of the Midwest . This area is known for its history of growing agriculture and livestock. Make sure that you taste some of the best BBQ in the country.
The group will be ministering during the week to the children and the homeless of Kansas City. Opportunities may include VBS, homeless feedings, food distribution, light construction on churches or homes, community outreaches, prayerwalks and nursing home visitations.
Transportation
Groups may drive to the project site or fly into Kansas City International Airport . Air and ground transportation during the week is not provided by ChildReach. You must provide your own transportation. We suggest that you bring or rent vans instead of using large busses.
Lodging
Your group will be staying at a local bible college. The participants will be staying in dorm rooms. For smaller groups everyone will receive a mattress. Larger groups may be required to bring air mattresses. You will need to bring your own pillow and bedding. The dorms are not air conditioned. Please bring fans!
