Dominican Republic shares its border with Haiti . It has a tropical island feel along with a Hispanic culture. There are thousands of refugees that have fled Haiti . The economy is depressed and the people need hope. Your group will reach out and share the Gospel through VBS, sports evangelism, community outreaches, church services, light construction, prayerwalks, and door to door ministry.
Transportation
There are direct flights to Santo Domingo from the United States . Airfare is not included in the project price. Ground transportation is included. Please discuss your airline schedule with ChildReach before confirming your flights in/out of the country.
Lodging
The group will be staying at a local church or hostal. Lodging will be determined upon the project location. Please check and ask about details for bedding.
Passport and Visa
U.S. citizens do not need a visa for a stay less than 90 days. All participants will need a valid passport.
Exit Tax
An airport tax must be paid by each participant when departing the Dominican Republic.
Shots and Vaccinations
A current Tetanus shot is required. Hepatitis A shots are recommended.
