Terry is married and lives with his wife Brenda and son, Corey in Canal Fulton, Ohio. He has two older sons, Sean and Jeff, both married and living in the area. He has two grandchildren, Troy and Tyson. Terry spent 17 years in Christian radio before surrendering to full-time mission work in 2001. He is an ordained minister and has had an intimate relationship with the Lord since 1975. He serves ChildReach as Executive Director.
The Lord has given Jeff a passion to mobilize and lead mission projects for churches. It brings him great joy for others to experience God and discover His heart for missions. Jeff's family lives in Blue Springs, MO where he has been either in youth ministry or missions for the past 12 years. Jeff married his wife Jen over 10 years ago and they have two beautiful girls- Rachel and Sarah. In October of 2006, they added a baby boy to the family, Andrew Jeffrey. Jeff and Jen spend most of their time enjoying the greatest gift that God has given them, their children.
Rick married his high school sweetheart, Chris, in 1985. They reside in Jackson Township, Stark County, Ohio with their daughter Sara, a Kent State nursing student, and son Andrew, Who attends Malone University. Rick believes in the "blossom where you're planted" philosophy and has been in the business mission field as an Architectural Hardware Consultant for over 20 years. He has met a people group that has wrecked his heart in the children of South America. Other than being with his family Rick could not live a more perfect day than taking Compassion sponsors on a mission trip to meet their sponsored kids. He describes the impact on both as a "privilege to witness".
Dave Meysembourg | Youth & Adult Mission Trips Leader
Dave lives in Uniontown, Ohio with his best friend and childhood sweetheart, his wife Tami. They have two children, Dan and Brianna, and five grandchildren who all live in the area.
God put a call on David's heart for lost people when he became a Christian in 1991, and he has been following that call ever since. He started taking God's Word to jails and prisons in 1992, and has spent many years in Senior High and Young Adult Ministry. He is a graduate of The Londen Institute, a graduate school for people entering ministry as a second career, and currently serves as Campus Pastor in Hartville for RiverTree Christian Church.
The Peterson family has surrendered to the call of the Lord and have followed Him to Chilca, Lima, Peru. They oversee operations and disbursements for Hannah's Home, Hannah's Hope and Hogar de Ninos. They left their home church, Ni River Community Church in Fredericksburg, VA where Lynn served as an Elder and Melissa served on the Praise Team.
Tom and Shirley Brinkley | Ecuador Program Director
God used a Mission conference in their local church to draw Tom and Shirley Brinkley into missions. They served in Quito, Ecuador for the past ten years and returned home recently. Tom and Shirley have three grown children and five grandchildren. Five years ago their heart was stolen by a little Ecuadorian boy, Steven. He is no wthe youngest member of their family!
Ricardo Mavila | ChildReach Del Peru
Ricky lives in Salamanca, Lima, Peru. He lives with his wife, Kelsey and son, Sammy. He is an experienced Set-Up person for several organizations in the US and plays a very important role in ChildReach Ministries. Ricky has had a relationship with the Lord since 1994 and is the point person for ChildReach Del Peru.
Brenda Hunka | Executive Administrator
Brenda is married to Terry and they live with their son, Corey, in Canal Fulton, Ohio. She is full-time with ChildReach and serves as the Ohio Office Manager.
Rachel Porter | Communications & Advancement
Rachel joined the full-time staff at ChildReach after graduating from John Carroll University in May 2009. She is excited to have a career allowing her to apply her Communications degree while also expanding her faith in God. Rachel resides in Cleveland, Ohio where she is a professional dancer for the Cleveland Cavaliers. She feels blessed to be a part of two organizations she truly loves. While Rachel currently has no children to brag of, she does have two kittens, Minkas and Rufio, whom she rescued a few years ago and are her pride and joy.
Tony Kay Schutz | Advancement Director - Kansas City
Tony Kay and her husband Jim have been married over 25 years and they have two sons and a treasured daughter (in-law). Tony Kay homeschooled for 15 years and then went back to school getting a degree in Nonprofit Organization Administration. She has spent the last three years in IT management; God's boot camp for His next step in her journey of faith. She joins the Childreach Ministries team with a heart to serve and arms anxious to hug on the precious children that God brings to Hannah's Home and Hope in Peru.
David is a recent graduate in Architecture at Penn State University. He has followed God's calling to serve with ChildReach full time as the on-site construction coordinator, coordinating all future and ongoing construction projects undertaken by the ministry. As part of this calling, David has moved from his family's dairy farm in south central PA to live in Chilca, Peru on a permanent basis. Aside from building, he is passionate about the people of Peru and helping serve their needs any way he can.
David Castillo | Sponsorship
David is developing a Child Sponsorship program that will build long-term, Christ-centered relationships between adults and the children served by ChildReach. David, his wife Mary, and their children live in San Antonio, Texas.
Rob is married and lives with his wife Lynn. They have two children, Rebekah, who is three and Amara who was born in January of 2008. Rebekah is full of life and keeps them busy. Amara is always smiling and laughing. Rob is an elementary teacher by profession, but works with ChildReach as the technical website guy.
Rob and Lynn are leaders of an adoption ministry called Born In Our Hearts. Children are a passion to him and his life revolves around the children of this world. From the classroom to children in poverty, his life's purpose is to love the world... one child at a time!
